~Squirt on everything from baby's bottom to the cutting board!

- I am a Christian wife & mom. We homeschooled for 16 great years, 11 of which I lovingly served as Miami County Ohio's homeschool co-ordinator, 7 years writing for The Old Schoolhouse homeschool magazine & serving as their Ohio coordinator & even though my heart will always be in the homeschool community, I feel the need to expand & move on into another area that is close to my heart ~ frugal living . . . including, but not limited to, money-saving tips; homemade food, personal care, health care, home cleaning; herbalism, etc. I am also a writer for the Christian Women's Voice magazine, a writer for The Biblical Herbal e-magazine, an herbalist, a free-lance writer, & a speaker on homeschooling, Christian women's issues, frugal living & herbs ~ I would be honored to speak to your group or at your retreat! Hello Kim, It was so good to find that you had been by this morning. Thank you for taking the time to leave such a sweet sweet note for me. I've missed you, but I did read that you were having some trouble being able to access some of the blogs after installing the new virus protection on your computer. I pray that all continues to go well.
ReplyDeleteI just finished doing the draft for tomorrow's meeting of my grandparents. I'm trying to work ahead some because Wednesday I have an appointment with an oral surgeon to have a biopsy done of a bump that my dentist found last Wednesday when I went for a filling. I want to keep this week's series on my childhood memories going regardless...so working ahead is working for me. :)
And I've often thought the same thing when I first met you about what close friends we'd be if we lived close to one another. We have so much in common in our backgrounds, plus other common interests.

Kim - what on earth is Castile soap and where do you find it?
ReplyDeleteI was showing this recipe to someone & just saw Debi's question ~ sorry it's taken me so long, but this type of thing is why I now have my blog set up so that I know when anyone comments on any of the post ~ old or new.
ReplyDeleteAnyway ~ Castile soap is a very, very pure soap that is usually made from olive oil and/or hemp oil. It is one of the most useful soaps EVER. You can buy it in liquid or bars & you can find it at most health food store &, around here (Ohio), you can also find it at Kroger stores.
