Word-Filled Wednesday ~#35~ Waiting Expectantly on Answered Prayer

PASSAGE: "I waited patiently for the LORD; He turned to me and heard my cry . . . Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders You have done. The things You planned for us no one can recount to You; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare." ~Psalm 40:1, 5.

LESSON LEARNED: When you pray, do you expect it to be answered? Yes? No? Sorta-kinda-in-a-way-maybe?

If you pray without the expectation of your prayers being answered, then WHY do you pray? Is it the cherry on top of a sundae of grand wishes?

God calls us to be people of faith, to take Him at His word: "According to your faith it will be done to you . . . " (Matt. 9:29), "He [Jesus] replied, '. . . I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "Move from here to there" and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'" (Matt. 17:20)

I pray with great expectation!

I serve a mighty, mighty God ~ THE ONLY GOD
~ and whether His answer to me is "Yes" or "No," I wait with great expectation upon His clear answer. Even when His time frame does not fit with the urgency I may think is best, God is my loving Father and He knows the best time and the best way for my prayers to be answered.

Let's pray. And let's pray EXPECTANTLY ~ knowing that God is working in our behalf simply because, as our precious Father ~ our mighty God ~ He loves us and wants His answer to our prayers to benefit His kingdom.

Blessings from Ohio . . . Kim<><

    Praying expectantly!
