Outside my window . . . grey, rainy, cold. Typical March 18th.
I am thinking . . . of how blessed I am. Salvation from the One & one God of creation, THE Man who loves me, incredible daughters who love me, a new son-in-law who loves me (imagine ~ in-laws who like each other!), a great church, exciting things on the horizon, I had the best parents & grandparents . . . & that's only the beginning of my blessings.
I am thankful . . . for another year on earth.
From the kitchen . . . we had a chili contest at church, yesterday. I didn't win, BUT, I made a huge batch & there was only about 2 servings left . . . that really blessed my heart that others liked it. You can get my chili recipe by clicking HERE.
I am wearing . . . jeans, brown merled sweater that DD#1 gave me & a lovely brown scarf w/floral print ~ very vintage looking :-) ~ that THE Man gave me today, for my birthday <3 span="">3>
I am creating . . . a peaceful, Christ-centered home.
I am going . . . to run some errands.
I am wondering . . . about planting this year's new herbs & veggies.
I am hoping . . . for a fruitful harvest.
I am reading . . . finishing up "Heaven is For Real" & looking forward to starting a book that my dear Facebook friend surprised me with when it arrived today: "Gifted Hands ~ The Ben Carson Story" by Dr. Ben Carson. Incredible man.
I am looking forward to . . . DD#1 popping in to visit me at work while she's in the area.
I am learning . . . that the same gift of free will that allows us to CHOOSE follow Jesus Christ will be, in the end, the self-imposed curse of those who won't.
Around the house . . . general pick up. Wishing for new floors. :-/
One of my favorite things . . . comments on my blog :-)
A few plans for the rest of the week . . . family time, work, worship & Easter trio practice, Sunday worship.
A favorite quote for the day . . . "I do not have ot be perfect to have Jesus as a Guest in my home. Transformed lives is the heartbeat of Jesus." ~From my Sunday sermon notes on Luke 19:1-10 on Zacchaeus.
Scripture thought . . . "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." ~Luke 19:10 ~ Jesus speaking.
A picture thought for you . . .
DD#2 posted this fun old photo on Facebook for my birthday.
Time flies by.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Kim; I hope you are having a great day and week. I loved the picture your daughter shared. Isn't it wonderful when everyone get's along. Right now we are having a struggling Granddaughter that is living with us and she's not getting along well. She's a lost little lamb and your scripture was perfect for me today We just keep praying for her. Thanks for sharing your Chili recipe and the new Book title.
