"I delight greatly in the LORD;
my soul rejoices in my God.
For He has clothed me with garments
of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of
Righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a
priest,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels . . .
as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride,
so will your God rejoice over you."
~Isaiah 61:10; 62:5
"We love because He first loved us."
~1 John 4:19
"Let us rejoice and be glad
and give Him glory!
For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and His bride has made herself ready."
~Rev. 19:7
Weddings are almost always a time of rejoicing and much celebration. In every culture, the bride and groom are dressed in their best clothes, hair combed and coiffed, special jewelry, family and friends gathered, the fruition of so much planning comes together and love is in the air.If you are married, you probably have sweet memories of your own wedding day, and most of us have memories of beautiful weddings that we have attended ~ heart-felt moments of starry-eyed love and anticipation.
Are you aware that once you accepted Jesus as your Savior that YOU ~ man, woman, teen or child ~ are being prepared as the Bride of Jesus Christ?
The day is fast approaching when Jesus will come back to collect His own. Once He has defeated the enemy of our souls there will be a celebration in Heaven ~ the Wedding Feast of the Lamb of God! He is planning, waiting and anticipating this day just as much as any excited groom would. He is rejoicing over us, His bride, just as God is rejoicing in the wedding of His children ~ His One and Only Son and those of us adopted into His family.
He is preparing us because He loves us. We, the imperfect and feeble, are blessed by our Father in Heaven to be wiped clean of all of our sin and guilt, and to partake in the long-awaited promise that the Creator of all that is loves YOU and cannot wait to dress you in your own garments of salvation and robe of His righteousness (Isaiah 61:10).
Oh what a glorious day that will be! Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus.

Amen and amen! Aren't we blessed to be the recipient of His grace!I also enjoy Zephaniah 3:17 - The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty, he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love; he will joy over thee with singing!!! You and I had the same "devotional" thoughts this morning!
