"For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned." ~Matt. 12:37
"The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." ~Prov. 18:21
"It doesn't matter if the glass is half empty or half full; be grateful that you have a glass and that there is something in it." ~Unknown
Is your glass half full or half empty? Depends upon the way you look at life, doesn't it?
We all know people who could fit either outlook, don't we? I try to be a "half full" person because I have been (and still am in many ways) a person who has had to do without something that it seemed everyone else has. But you know what? The Lord is always good and He always sees to my needs.
I feel sorry for those who constantly see their life-glass as "half empty." This is a fallen world and we are not promised tomorrow, much less the latest trend, but I'll bet that if you look around you'll find that the Lord has blessed you in many ways and in ways that He, in His wisdom, has not blessed others.
If you are a half empty person, you may think you are actually "being a realist" by taking the pessimist's side, but you could be throwing happiness away with both hands. You don't have to jump to the other side of the spectrum and become a PollyAnna, but a positive attitude goes a long way.
Remember: "You will reap the fruit of your lips."
