The Simple Woman's Daybook ~#186~ 4/8/13

For Today . . .

Outside my window . . . gray & breezy. In-coming showers. BUT ~ it's in the low 60's. Can't have everything.

I am thinking . . . that I need more hours in my day.

I am thankful . . . for the patriots in our government who are trying to hold back in-crouching tyranny. God protect them & keep them strong.

From the kitchen . . . bread baking day.

I am wearing . . . brown capris, gray tank, black drapie, brown scarf.

I am creating . . . a peaceful Christ-centered home.

I am going . . . to work the late store hours. Monday, the day when I leave & the rest of the family comes home.

I am wondering . . . about timing.

I am hoping . . . it is soon.

I am looking forward to . . . open doors.

I am learning . . . details.

Around the house . . . general pick-up; planning on weeding my little herb garden area in preparation for this year's herbs.

One of my favorite things . . . fun with my family. We all went to see Jurassic Park in 3D this weekend. What fun.

A few plans for the rest of the week . . . family time, work, research project, writing project . . .

A favorite quote for the day . . .
Open the blind eyes
Unlock the deaf ears
Come to Your people
As we draw near.
Hear us from heaven
Touch our generation
We are Your people
Crying out in desperation.
Chorus of Hear Us From Heaven ~ by Jared Anderson
Scripture thought . . ."Son of man, I have made you a watch man . . . so hear the word I speak and give them warning from Me. When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you will surely die,' and you do not speak out to dissuade him from his ways, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you DO warn the wicked man to turn from his ways and he does not do so, he will die for his sin, but you will have saved yourself.'" ~Ezekiel 33:7-9 [emphasis mine ~KW<><]

DO NOT be afraid to speak God's truth to this dying world. If they go their way and do not accept Christ as their Savior & the truth of God's Word, the Bible, they are not rejecting us, but are rejecting God. When we do our part ~ the telling ~ God will do His part ~ the influence ~ the rest is left up to the choice of the hearer.

A picture thought for you . . .

  1. I love the picture thought for today, Kim. Margaret Thatcher was quite the lady! And I appreciate your Scripture thought today!

    1. Yes, she was. I admire that when the British liberals called her The Iron Lady that she turned it into a good thing & it became an endearment toward her throughout the world.

      Blessings . . .

  2. I loved the picture you shared. These were too very good leader in my opinion. I loved the scripture and quote. You always have good ones. I do believe and God and try to share his word. I love the scriptures and find great peace in them. I love the Bible and of course our Book of Mormon.
I know beyond doubt you do have a Christ centered home. I love that thought and try to have one too.
    Blessings!

    1. You are always so encouraging & I appreciate it beyond measure. I have read parts of the Book of Mormon ~ we had some Latter Day neighbors when I was growing up ~ precious friends. I didn't become a Christian until I we 23, & I enjoyed discussing Scripture w/them when I would see them "across the fence."

I'm sure you have a Christ-centered home, as well.

      Blessings . . .
