About a year ago, I wrote a post on Homemade Hot Flash Remedies. You could call this "Part Deux" or simply think of this one more geared toward Night Sweats.
If you haven't entered this phase of life, you may want to bookmark this & the other post for later, because Sweetie . . . it's comin'! '-P
I mentioned my peri-menopausal/menopausal regime in the previous post & credit taking Evening Primrose Oil for the lack of night sweats/hot flash complaints. However, that is not to say that I never have night sweats or hot flashes; I simply don't have them as often as many women. And when I do I have a few quick & simple remedies . . .
Rosewater ~ You can use rosewater either as a spray, in a tea or 2 dropper-fulls of a rosewater tincture. When you use it in a spray, you will be doubly blessed by the lovely fragrance. When you use the tincture, use 2 full droppers-full in 8-12 oz of cold water.
Sage ~ Sage is very well known as a natural deodorizer. Once again, try this in cold water using a tincture or in a tea. If you have your own plant, clip off a couple of leaves & rub them under your arms as a deodorant or on the bottoms of your feet for hot flash relief. Sage tea has it's own lovely taste with a little honey ~ in my opinion ~ & is a great option to drink just before you go to bed. The warmth of the tea will relax you & help you fall asleep, while the sage itself will help stop those nasty night sweats.
Marigold ~ tea or tincture, taken as mentioned for sage, helps with night sweats, hot flashes and hormonal imbalances, including menstral cramps.
Red Clover ~ a tea or tincture commonly known for respiratory, skin problems (eczema and psoriasis) and even as a blood cleanser but very well known to help with most any "women's issue" from heavy, painful periods to menopause. Red clover is a natural replacement for many hormone replacement therapies.
Red Raspberry Leaf ~ one of my favorites. Another all-encompassing "women's issues" problem solver. RRL taken as a tea or tincture can help if you are anxious to conceive a baby, morning sickness, labor pains, helps to lessen postpartum bleeding, menstral cramping AND menopausal night sweats and hot flashes.
Let me know how you LOVE these remedies.

Hello. I found you through Barb's blog. Your blog is lovely and I will definitely bookmark & follow you. I am just now on the other side of all the hot flash etc mess. I thought it would never end but it did and I am very thankful. I didn't use any herbals or prescription drugs. I did cut out coffee and black tea, tried to eat healthier and exercise more. Hope you have a "cool" evening.
