The Simple Woman's Daybook ~#188~ 5/6/13

For Today . . .

Outside my window . . . gray, windy and drizzly rain

I am thinking . . . that I wish I didn't have to go to work today . . . but . . .

I am thankful . . . that I even have a job in this economy.

From the kitchen . . . hot dog with chili sauce and cheese.

I am wearing . . . jeans, grey tank, black drapey ~ some-what of a work "uniform." Comfort but a little nice.

I am creating . . . a peaceful Christ-centered home; and a plan of action.

I am going . . . to take a big jump forward.

I am wondering . . . how my prayers will be answered; praying with great expectations.

I am hoping . . . for the Lord's hand to cover & guide my plans.

I am looking forward to . . . getting the ball rolling.

I am learning . . . facts.

About the house . . . general Monday pick-up, a little laundry.

I am pondering . . .  the next step.

I am reading . . . just got Glenn Beck's new book, "Control" this morning. Can't wait to dig into it tonight after work.

One of my favorite things . . . driving my new/used truck, Ruby :-)

A few plans for the rest of the week . . . family time, work, reading, blogging, researching an article and project, worship practice, worship with the saints . . .

A favorite quote for the day . . . "God's influence in my life doesn't stop with me; like the ripples in a pond, HIS power and influence works outward from me . . . to my family . . . to the people in my sphere of influence . . . to the world" ~from my Sunday sermon notes.

Scripture thought . . . "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." ~Acts 1:8 {Scripture that goes with the favorite quote, above.}

A picture thought for you . . .
