We (that being The Royal "We" ~ meaning us giving our handyman a break :-D) took some time off the bathroom renovation for the Holidays. But I just wanted to show you a little bit of the neat little extras that help w/the look.
One of THE Man's wishes were fulfilled by getting this bowed shower rod. It makes for a little more room for your extended elbows while reaching up to shampoo your hair. No more of the icky, clingy feeling of the shower curtain "grabbing" you.
The other is the matching small tile above the tub surround. It turned out much nicer than I thought it would. That's always a good thing.
Wish we could "talk" more but I have a busy, busy day today! Leave me some love!
Blessings from Ohio . . . Kim<><

ReplyDelete~~peace & love & joy & blessings~~
I will need to go back and look at the other pictures from before...this looks great. We are getting ready to do some "renovating" soon, so I may be asking your advice!! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteOH YES! We totally agree on the Bowed shower rods and plan to replace ours with those when we remodel the bathrooms here. And I'm all for tiling all the way up and in our bathroom that contains just a shower stall and no tub we will even tile the ceiling. SO MUCH easier to clean.
ReplyDeleteHow much you will enjoy your new bathroom when it's finished! I like the look of the shower curtain and that shower rod will be nice. Hope you're having a great week.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful job on that tile around the top of the shower. I'm loving this whole look, Kim! The floor is beautiful! And love the way you've painted and distressed the cabinetry, using the true primitive colors. Great job, you guys! SO happy for you!
ReplyDeleteI like your header picture...I have some yellowware bowls and salt glazed pieces with blue motifs.
ReplyDeleteWe put in one of those shower rods.

My husband wants a bowed shower curtain rod also. He isn't generally germophobic about anything, but shower curtains are the worst for him. When we were first married, we lived in this little apartment w/a claw foot tub (which I loved) and the curtain went all the way around the tub. It was the worst case scenario for him!
