Sausage Stars
Looking for something different & tasty to take to a carry-in, or your next Home Group snack or even for Christmas (STARS ~ get it? ;-))? Try these Sausage Stars ~ you & everyone else will fall in love with them.
As our girls used to say when they were little, they will be yummy in your tummy!
You will need:
~1-2 lbs. cooked & crumble sausage (Bob Evan's sage sausage is my favorite)
~1-1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
~1 c. prepared Hidden Valley Ranch original salad dressing
~1 can (2.24 oz.) sliced, ripe olives
~1/2 c. chopped red pepper** (**OPTIONAL ~ I don't use these)
~1 pkg fresh OR frozen won ton wrappers
~cooking oil (I use either olive oil OR safflower oil)
~muffin tin(s)
~baking/cookie sheet
Directions:
1) preheat over to 350*
2) after sausage is cooked & crumbled, blot sausage dry w/a paper towel or two & combine w/cheese, salad dressing, olives & **red pepper
3) lightly grease a muffin tin & press one wrapper in each cup; brush lightly w/oil
4) bake 5 minutes
5) remove from tins, place on baking sheet; fill w/sausage mixture
6) bake 5 minutes until bubbly
7) ENJOY
