Herbs For Health
Herbalist, Rosemary Gladstar, has a great line: "Don't wait until you're sick to use herbs. The best way to cure illness is not to become ill . . . "
She breaks down herbs & supplements into 3 groups:
1) Nutritive herbs ~ used as a regular part of our diets {horsetail, red clover, lemon balm . . . }
2) Tonic herbs ~ to feed, tone rehabilitate & strengthen certain systems of the body.
3) Longevity herbs ~ these WILL NOT extend life, but they help our quality of life on into our elder years.
Below are some of her suggestions for Tonic Herbs or Supplements & the parts of the body that they help ~
Blood ~ Burdock, Dandelion
Stinging Nettle
Bones ~ Nettle, Oats
Brain ~ Ginkgo, Gotu Kola

I love to learn about herbs. There are so many good things for us if we would just grow and use them. I have a daughter that is really into this so I will send her your link. I also am going to look into this more myself.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you!
Yes, God's Natural Remedies..God gave us all we need to sustain us here on Earth...Unfortunately we have been brainwashed into believing use of such products is hocus-pocus..where in fact the pharmaceutical companies use them and charge a fortune..
