The Simple Woman's Daybook ~#64~ 2/1/10

For Today...

Outside my window...Lovely, sunshine! Oh, how I've missed you!

I am thinking...that I can't believe it's February!

I am thankful for...so much...but for now...1) the Lord's provision 2) for being accepted onto a new ministry team 3) being asked to lead a group at our church's up-coming ladies' retreat - if not, I could not go. PTL!

From the kitchen...hmmmm....waiting for that spark of inspiration for the supper menu.

I am wearing...my warm 'Monday' dudes ~ jeans, black turtleneck, camel cardigan.

I am remembering…details from yesterday's sermon.

I am going…to take DD#2 to work, run some errands.

I am reading...still reading "Lies Women Believe" for my Sunday School class.

I am hoping...that more speaking engagements come.

On my mind…Blessings; awaiting answers to prayer w/great expectation.

I am creating...a peaceful home.

I am hearing...the radio.

Noticing that…my calendar is filling up.

Pondering these words…where is Jesus calling me to jump to Him w/reckless abandon?

Around the house...picking up from the weekend, DH had a cold & so the weekend was slow & lazy...including picking up around the house. :-/

One of my favorite things...living in a rural area. Last week, on my way home from taking DD#2 to work, I had to stop to let a coyote cross the road! You don't get THAT in the city! lol

A Scripture thought...II Cor. 10:17 ~ "But, 'Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.' For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends."

A few plans for the rest of the week...tomorrow's hammered dulcimer demonstration/lecture :-) at a homeschool co-op, my mom's 80th birthday (WOW!), a homeschool mom's get-together @ church...and...dare I say it...the Superbowl!!

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
My mom...Happy 80th birthday Mother!

Blessings from Ohio, Kim Wolf<><

  1. oh Kim, I am so excited to see you are moving more into ministry! So many will be touched and grow in the Lord because of your willingness :) You have such a tender servant's heart ;) The pic of your mom just tickles my heart :) May your mom have a blessed birthday!

  2. I really enjoyed your Daybook entry. So, I'm not the only one who begins the day not knowing what to cook for supper ;-)

I love hammered dulcimer music! I had never heard of it until a few months ago. I don't think it's too popular here in Canada, at least as far as I know. I have several audio clips bookmarked on my computer. If you have a CD, I would be interested in purchasing it!

May the Lord bless you today!
