The Right Side of History

Glenn Beck made a great point on his radio show today: "We are living in historical times & we need to decide which side of history we are going to be on - the right or the wrong."

In years to come when our children or grandchildren ask us what we did save our country from disaster, we need to be able to look them in the eyes & not be ashamed, we need to be able to tell them that we didn't just sit there & watch it all fall apart on T.V.

  1. Kim, thank you for sharing with me about Callanetics. I'd not heard of it prior to this, but it definitely sounds like something I would be interested in. I wanted to let you know that I got on Amazon.com and checked it out. I don't if you use Amazon or not, but I am really spoiled by them because most of the time they are so much less expensive than going to a book store. They do have Callanetics on DVD...listed as 10 years younger in 10 hours. New it is $12.74 plus $2.98 for S&H. Just thought I'd pass that information along to you.

Also wanted to tell you how much I enjoy The Simple Woman's Daybook. I love journaling, but not always as faithful about it as I would like to be. Is this a book that I could also order? Or did you find it in a different form than a book?

Thanks again for stopping by today!

  2. Thanks for the info about the Callanetics DVD. That's so good to know...my video is probably 12 yrs old & I use it sparingly, I try to do it from memory as much as possible b/c of that. If you get a copy you'll get a kick out of the 90's hair! lol

The Simple Woman's Daybook is simply a long, long list of women who journal their day every Monday. You can go to Peggy H's website - the link is on my Blog List on the lower left-hand of my blog - & see what it's all about, or click on the link to it at the bottom of my Daybook entry. The original website is also where you can copy/paste her promts that you finish according to your day. Her own Daybook is on there & you can scroll down & see where you can join the list of other Daybookers. Then, every Monday you post your Daybook & then go to Peggy's Daybook & click that you've completed yours. You can also click on those on the list & read their Daybooks & they can read yours. The only thing she requests is that you put a link to her original Daybook on your entry.

If you start one be sure to let me know! :-)

  3. So true. I'm already telling my children that and trying to help them understand the importance of us doing all we can NOT to let our freedoms be taken away...for their children and children's sake. I tell them, I don't want you to tell your children the 'stories' of 'back in the day' when we we're free to do this and that and say this and that and go here and there, and worship....

  4. This is so true! Did you see his show on Friday? It was very moving. We have our children watching Glenn Beck with us and we had a great discussion afterwards. It was sickening yet if we do not do something, that will be us :( We must teach our children all of our history...

  5. I agree, Nancy. We DVR'd Glenn's special so that we can show it to ppl who don't have satillite/cable. Glenn said, on his radio show, that while 1 of his producers was editing the special that when he asked her how things were going, she said, "I'm MAD!"

    "Why?"

"Because I'm a HISTORY MAJOR & I knew NONE of this & I want to know why!"

    One more reason to homeschool.

  6. I watch Glenn Beck daily and also listen to some of his radio show when I can. I actually (jokingly) call myself a "Glenn Beckian" haha! ;) What he says makes complete sense and sometimes I wonder how some people don't get it! Ya know?
