I took a break due to some family obligations.
FYI ~ I, myself, worked outside of my home until I had children. This article is 7 years old, our daughters are grown and work outside of their homes ~ until they have children. When they have children, they will be stay-at-home mothers and not let others raise their children. There is nothing wrong with women working outside the home, my issue in this post is that it bothers me, it hurts me as a woman in the home, that so many stay-at-home-wives and mothers look at what they do as not contributing to the welfare of either their family or their community, when in reality, they are doing the utmost for both!

Our girls CHOSE not to go to college directly out of homeschool graduation. One works in a Dr's office and is taking courses paid for by her employer and our other daughter is a librarian ~ neither NEEDED a college education. However, as I said, both will be stay-at-home moms once they have children. If they decided to go back to work after their children are raised, as I did, their homes will still be their first responsibility. Thank you, for asking.Marmee's Pantryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01612989781352785304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7969468832602521879.post-78681479611448298582016-09-25T10:03:24.735-04:002016-09-25T10:03:24.735-04:00This article suggest that you believe a woman'...This article suggest that you believe a woman's place is in the home. I have to ask: what if one of your daughters, when age 16 or 17, approached you and said: "Mom, I'd like to go to college. I want to be a doctor or a lawyer and make a good income." How would you respond. What would you say?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10292585693507966734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7969468832602521879.post-56025493527221032632016-09-25T10:01:46.935-04:002016-09-25T10:01:46.935-04:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10292585693507966734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7969468832602521879.post-42404329956118492272011-03-10T16:24:40.784-05:002011-03-10T16:24:40.784-05:00I just found your blog and look forward to reading...I just found your blog and look forward to reading more. I always love it when I have to fill out paperwork and I get to put that I am a homemaker. I am so proud and thankful for that. When my kids ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up I always tell them that I wanted to be a Wife and Mother. I love to see them smile at that.
